The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) is seeking a qualified Procurement Officer to join its team. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing procurement and contractual aspects of major complex projects for the procurement of diverse services and commodities (e.g., information technology, electronic equipment, vehicles, medicines, building maintenance materials, office supplies, construction, furniture, etc.).


πŸ’Ό Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct all stages of procurement-related processes.

  • Develop and prepare comprehensive technical specifications and bidding documents.

  • Lead evaluation panels and conduct contract negotiations.

  • Provide procurement advice and training to internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with UN procurement policies and procedures.


βœ… Requirements:

  • Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, law, or related field. A first-level degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain management.

  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.

  • Other: UN experience or knowledge of UN procurement rules is an added advantage.
