🧾 Job Overview

Save the Children UK is seeking a Programme Finance Officer to support international programs by ensuring accurate financial management, grant compliance, and donor reporting. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of funding streams and program delivery across multiple countries.


🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor programme budgets and forecast spending across donor-funded grants

  • Coordinate financial reporting for institutional donors like FCDO, EU, ECHO, and UNICEF

  • Work with program and finance teams to resolve variances and ensure compliance

  • Support proposal development with accurate budget and cost recovery analysis

  • Build capacity of local partners and overseas finance teams


Required Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (ACCA/CIMA/CPA preferred)

  • At least 3 years’ experience in NGO financial or grant management roles

  • Familiarity with international donors and contract regulations (DFID, USAID, etc.)

  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of financial systems (Agresso/SAP ideal)

  • Strong communication and team coordination abilities
