FG Begins Nationwide Recruitment into Civil Defence, Immigration, Correctional, and Fire Services

The Federal Government has commenced a nationwide recruitment exercise into four key paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior. These agencies include the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

This recruitment process is being coordinated by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

Rescheduled Application Start Date

Originally scheduled to begin on June 26, 2025, the recruitment exercise was postponed to allow for the proper setup of the online portal and other technical arrangements. The new official commencement date is Monday, July 14, 2025, which is today.

  • Meet physical fitness standards:

    • Male applicants: Minimum height of 1.65 metres, chest measurement not less than 0.87 metres.

    • Female applicants: Minimum height of 1.60 metres.

  • Be medically fit, with proof from a government-approved hospital.

  • Be free from criminal convictions or financial misconduct.

  • Have computer literacy, which is considered an added advantage, especially for higher roles.

Available Job Categories

The recruitment is divided into three broad categories:

1. Superintendent Cadre (Cadre A):
For applicants with professional qualifications such as MBBS, LLB, engineering degrees, etc.

2. Inspectorate Cadre (Cadre B):
For holders of National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or certifications like Registered Nurse, among others.

3. Assistant Cadre (Cadre C):
For SSCE holders. Includes roles such as general duties, drivers, mechanics, and artisans.
